A reef shot at Diani needs low tide and reef shoes. A dhow shot at the harbour needs the opposite. Two monsoons, Kaskazi and Kusi, decide the whole season's water and wind months in advance. This is roughly where the tide sits rising in today's cycle — real tide tables are what we actually book a shoot around, down to the day.

Location, tide, and shot list confirmed ahead of time — especially for beach and reef locations, where tide tables decide what's possible.

Shoot day

On set, on time. Direction kept light so the people in front of the camera stay themselves.
